Gang Violence

Gang violence effects everyone involved in it and they believe that it is a way to fit in to their surronding enviornment. They feel pressured by family or friends and feel like it is what they need to do for their family and also see it as a way of survival. Most people dont understand how the envolvement in gang violence at a young age can effect them as adults.

Conclusion

The conclusion I found from my data showed me how gang violence really does effect teens in school, because they think about and have to be aware that their life is on the line at all times.

Gang Violence, and Autobiography was a book I searched and it showed gang violence from a survivors point of view and the second half showed the point of view of someone that lived near a place where gang violence was currently happening and he was a witness of it but not actually involved in it.

The data I received from the survey showed that many people only agreed instead of having a strong agreement. I am guessing that they mostly said just agree because they were ever involved in gang violence.

Is gang violence and gang membership among teenagers increasing or decreasing?

I would say gang membership is increasing because teens are influenced by other teens and from this influence they feel safe and secure. As a teen right now there are many things happening in life and many things we find difficult and/or frustrating. All teens have things going on like this in their lives, but for some teens its all this and an addition of problems such as violence in their neighborhoods so they feel safe and they feel like they are really doing something with their lives.
